The new headquarters of electronics firm KAFKAS is an addition to an existing office building. The new and old part are joined both externally and internally to create one new unified building.
A perforated aluminum cladding with panels that filter the sunlight with a pattern that refers to an electric circuit unites the new and old parts externally. The space created between the cladding and the internal core a space is planted and adds to the microclimate of the office spaces.
Internally a split level system that rotates around a central covered atrium connects all levels of the extention and the existing part. This way all departments of the company are joined into one organism making the building function internally as one unit.
