plekto I

On a plot overlooking the Aegean Sea, two separate houses are intertwined with each other. Through scattered volumes and connecting beams a woven composition is created. The pool of each building participates in the composition by penetrating the volumes, further enhancing the weaving of the design.

This method of interwoven spaces can be adapted to all needs and requirements. In this specific case the two houses consist of a living room and a kitchen with access to the sea side of the building, where the pool, as well as the courtyard of the house, including a wooden pergola covering a lounge area, are located. A cool internal patio is formed in the center of each house, providing access to the bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own private veranda, thus ensuring the existence of small secluded quiet spaces.
Natural colors combined with wood, are used for every surface of the building. The same material is given for the walls as well as for the floors, thus giving a monolithic look, fully integrated in the natural landscape that surrounds it.
